Atomic Bomberman Online via IPX via Hamachi

Ok.. So I made it work! This is how:

I’ll assume that you have a working piece of Hamachi :).
I used Windows XP, but this should work on any Microsoft OS.

1. Go to Control Panel > Networking Connections
2. Right click on the connection named Hamachi and click on Properties

3. If you have the IPX protocol (a.k.a. NWLink IPX/SPX/NetBIOS Compatible Transport Protocol) installed (it shows up in the list) skip to step number 5

4. Click on Install, click on Protocol and then on Add.., select NWLink IPX/SPX/NetBIOS Compatible Transport Protocol and click on OK
5. Click on NWLink IPX/SPX/NetBIOS Compatible Transport Protocol then click on Properties

6. Delete everything on the Internal Network Number field and write a number (for instance, I chose 1, but this number should be different on every computer that you want to play the game from – i.e. there cannot be two players with the same Internal Network Number). The field will be auto-completed with the needed zeros.
7. From the Frame Type drop-down select Ethernet II
8. Delete everything on the Network Number field and write 0. The field will be auto-completed with the needed zeros.

9. Click OK and then Close.

Note: Disable or setup your firewall rules properly to allow Atomic Bomberman connect to the Internet.

That’s it!
If you want to play, join my Atomic Bomberman Hamachi network: mrg2k8, password mrg2k8.
Have fun.
